Familienzentren in Nordrhein-Westfalen: Eine Zwischenbilanz

Abstract

Auf den Punkt: Seit 2006 werden in Nordrhein-Westfalen Kindertageseinrichtungen zu Familienzentren weiter entwickelt, welche ein sozialraumorientiertes Angebot an Beratung, Bildung und Unterstützung aufbauen. Die Angebote sind je nach Sozialraum sehr unterschiedlich gestaltet; die Leitungskräfte legen großen Wert darauf, dass die Angebote den Strukturen ihres Sozialraums entsprechen und ständig bedarfsorientiert angepasst werden. Von besonderer Bedeutung sind Angebote der (Erziehungs-) Beratung, die sich in fast allen Familienzentren etabliert haben und Eltern einen niederschwelligen Zugang ermöglichen. Engpässe werden vor allem in den Faktoren "Personal" und "Räume" gesehen. Die Funktion der Leitung von Familienzentren hat sich zu einer umfassenden Managementaufgabe entwickelt.
