Abstract

Im Gefolge der Ausweitung der amerikanischen Immobilien- und Finanzkrise sowie des dauerhaften Ölpreis- und Eurokursanstiegs haben sich die konjunkturellen Perspektiven weiter eingetrübt. War bis vor kurzem noch für Deutschland eine Wachstumsdelle lediglich in der ersten Hälfte dieses Jahres erwartet worden, muss angesichts der Verschärfung vorgenannter Faktoren mit einer Verlängerung der konjunkturellen Schwächephase in die zweite Jahreshälfte hinein gerechnet werden. Bei Stabilisierung der Rahmenbedingungen ist im kommenden Jahr mit einer Rückkehr auf den Aufschwungspfad zu rechnen. Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt wird dann gleichwohl - wegen des niedrigen Ausgangsniveaus und einer geringeren Zahl von Arbeitstagen - wie in diesem Jahr nur um 1,3 Prozent wachsen. Die bislang günstige Entwicklung auf dem Arbeitsmarkt dürfte sich kaum in der Weise fortsetzen. Die Inflationsrate, die zuletzt mit 3,1 Prozent deutlich über dem Stabilitätsziel der Europäischen Zentralbank lag, dürfte erst allmählich wieder zurückgehen.
