Verdienstlücke zwischen Männern und Frauen im öffentlichen Bereich und in der Privatwirtschaft: Höhe, Entwicklung 2010-2014 und Haupteinflussfaktoren

Abstract

Die mittlere Lohnlücke zwischen den Geschlechtern (Gender Pay Gap) liegt nach Angaben des Statistischen Bundesamtes (2018) im öffentlichen Dienst mit 9 % deutlich unter dem Niveau der Privatwirtschaft (23 %). Dennoch stellt sich die Frage nach den Ursachen der Verdienstunterschiede im öffentlichen Dienst. Soll der öffentliche Dienst künftig beim Abbau von Entgeltungleichheit als Vorbild vorangehen, bedarf es einer genaueren Analyse mit aktuellen Daten um den aktuellen Ursachen der Verdienstlücke auf die Spur zu kommen.
