Branchenanalyse Sägeindustrie: Im Spannungsfeld von Ökonomie und Umweltschutz

Abstract

Die Sägeindustrie ist in wirtschaftlicher und beschäftigungspolitischer Hinsicht eine wachstumsstarke Branche. Die Nutzung von Holz erlebt vor dem Hintergrund des Klimaschutzes und der Prämisse der Bioökonomie eine Renaissance, steht aber aufgrund der aktuellen und zu erwartenden klimatischen Veränderungen vor einigen Herausforderungen. Die vorliegende Branchenanalyse gibt einen Überblick über geänderte Berufsbilder in der Sägeindustrie, aktuelle Entwicklungen beim Rohstoff Holz, die Wertschöpfungskette der Branche und ihre Entwicklung hin zur Netzwerkökonomie. Darüber hinaus liefert die Studie einige nennenswerte Beispiele aus der Praxis.
