Pharmazeutische Industrie: Auswirkungen globaler Reorganisation von Forschung und Entwicklung auf Arbeitnehmerakteure

Abstract

Forschung und Entwicklung (FuE) bilden die Grundlage für Wohlstand und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Dies gilt umso mehr für eher rohstoffarme Länder wie Deutschland. Aus diesem Grund werden hierzulande jährlich mehr als drei Prozent der Wirtschaftsleistung für FuE ausgegeben. Auch die Pharmazeutische Industrie investiert einen großen Beitrag in FuE. Dabei wird deutlich, dass insbesondere große Unternehmen der Branche zunehmend international vernetzt und an mehreren Standorten forschen und entwickeln. Die Auseinandersetzung mit den Wertschöpfungsketten und Wissensressourcen innewohnenden Dynamiken ist vor diesem Hintergrund in den vergangenen drei Jahrzehnten zu einem zentralen Gegenstand theoriegeleiteter empirischer Untersuchungen in den Wirtschafts- und Regionalwissenschaften sowie der Innovationsforschung avanciert.
