Ursachen für rechtspopulistische Einstellungen. Ein Überblick über den Forschungsstand

Abstract

Es existieren verschiedene Erklärungsansätze für das Erstarken rechtspopulistischer und rechtsextremer Parteien und Bewegungen, die sich durchaus voneinander unterscheiden: Ökonomischen Ansätzen ist gemeinsam, dass sie die Entstehung rechtspopulistischer Orientierungen als Ergebnis verschärfter Verteilungsauseinandersetzungen verstehen. Ansätze, die den Rechtspopulismus vor allem als Ausdruck eines kulturellen gesellschaftlichen Konfliktes verstehen, betonen hingehen, dass die gesellschaftlichen Auseinandersetzungen nicht in erster Linie auf dem Feld der Erwerbsarbeit oder ökonomischen Verteilungsauseinandersetzung geführt werden.
