Branchenanalyse Möbelindustrie: Forschungsförderung Working Paper

Abstract

Die Möbelindustrie – zwischen schleichendem Niedergang oder zukunftsgewandter Erneuerung? Diese Frage stellt sich für eine Branche in der Konsolidierung, die im Verlauf der letzten Jahre rund 10 Prozent ihrer Betriebe und Beschäftigten in Deutschland verloren hat. ..Um Chancen für Wachstum zu identifizieren, ist es notwendig, hinter diese Symptombeschreibung zu blicken. Hierfür wurden neben vielen statistischen Auswertungen zahlreiche Akteure aus der Branche, Betriebsräte und Geschäftsführungen interviewt. Es zeigt sich, dass zahlreiche Wachstumschancen durch die Einführung von neuen Technologien und Innovationen bestehen. Ein zentraler Erfolgsfaktor sind hierbei gut qualifizierte und motivierte Beschäftigte.
