Kein Anschluss trotz Abschluss?! Benachteiligte Jugendliche am Übergang in Ausbildung

Abstract

Die Zahl der neuen Ausbildungsverträge wird in diesem Jahr noch einmal deutlich sinken: Das FiBS schätzt, dass dieses Jahr nur noch rund 430.000 Ausbildungsverträge im dualen System unterschrieben werden könnten. Das sind fast 100.000 weniger als noch 2019 und 35.000 weniger als 2020. Es zeigt sich zudem, dass insbesondere der Anteil der Abiturient:innen im dualen System angestiegen ist, während Jugendliche mit Realschul- oder Hauptschulabschluss immer schlechtere Chancen haben, einen Ausbildungsplatz zu bekommen. Es steht daher zu befürchten, dass diese Jugendlichen zukünftig noch schlechtere Chancen auf eine Ausbildung haben werden. Es braucht eine zeitnahe und grundlegende Reform des beruflichen Ausbildungssystems in Deutschland, um zu verhindern, dass ein größerer Teil der Jugendlichen zur "Generation Corona" wird. Dies sind die Kernergebnisse der heute veröffentlichten Prognose "Kein Anschluss trotz Abschluss?! Benachteiligte Jugendliche am Übergang Schule - Ausbildung". Danach wird sich die Zahl der Ausbildungsverträge im dualen System voraussichtlich noch stärker reduzieren. Ursächlich hierfür ist der deutlich längere zweite Lockdown, der voraussichtlich heute Nachmittag noch einmal verlängert werden wird. Bereits jetzt befürchtet jedes fünfte Unternehmen, die Pandemie nicht zu überstehen.
