Abstract

Data Literacy gehört als Schlüsselkompetenz zu den sog. 'Future Skills", die in einer digitalisierten Welt benötigt werden, um erfolgreich an der Wissenschaft, der Arbeitswelt und der Gesellschaft im Allgemeinen teilhaben zu können. Data Literacy bezieht sich auf vielfältige Kompetenzen im kritischen Umgang mit Daten, wie z.B. dem Sammeln, Managen, Bewerten und Anwenden von Informationen. Hochschulen haben dabei eine Schlüsselrolle in der Vermittlung von grundlegenden und fachspezifischen Datenkompetenzen. Dieser Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, wie Data Literacy-Kompetenzen curricular und extracurricular an den Hochschulen integriert werden können. Es gibt verschiedene Ansätze in Literatur und Praxis, die in einer Darstellung des aktuellen Forschungsstandes zu diesem Thema aufbereitet werden. Ergänzend wird anhand eines Fallbeispiels die praktische Umsetzung an einer Hochschule beleuchtet.
