Abstract

Jüngsten Berichten zufolge planen europäische Spitzenmannschaften eine "Superliga". Der vorliegende Beitrag analysiert die Debatte aus ökonomischer Sicht und führt eine Kosten-Nutzen-Analyse aus der Perspektive des FC Bayern München, welcher einer von zwei deut-schen Kandidaten für die "Superliga" ist, durch. Die Analyse arbeitet Vor- und Nachteile heraus, die sorgfältig gegeneinander abgewogen werden sollten. Die finale (unternehmeri-sche) Entscheidung der verantwortlichen Funktionäre unterliegt dabei stets der Unsicherheit.
