Rückkehrer oder Transmigranten? Erste Ergebnisse einer empirischen Analyse zur Lebenswelt der Deutsch-Türken in Istanbul

Abstract

Dieser Beitrag gliedert sich thematisch in zwei Teile. Zunächst wird ein knapper Überblick über das Migrationsgeschehen zwischen Deutschland und der Türkei gegeben, anschließend werden die Assimilationstheorien, auf die sich die klassische Migrationsforschung stützte, und der Transnationalismus-Ansatz vorgestellt. Es folgen zwei Abschnitte, in denen die Idealtypen 'Rück-' bzw. 'Heimkehrer' und 'Transmigrant' eingeführt, anschließend relevante Interviewabschnitte vorgestellt und diese im Hinblick auf die Frage, welchem Idealtypus die Interviewten nahe kommen, analysiert werden. Im zweiten Teil werden zunächst die Idealtypen der Diaspora-Internationalisierung und der Transnationalisierung eingeführt, anschließend wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche Charakteristika des Idealtypus der 'transnationalen sozialen Räume' die Lebenswelt der abgewanderten Hochqualifizierten aufweist. Der Artikel schließt mit einem Ausblick.
