Rahoitus- ja pankkitoiminnan tehokkuus Suomessa

Abstract

Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan sekä aikasarja-, että poikkileikkaustarkasteluin rahoitus- ja pankkitoiminnan tehokkuutta noudattaen ns. reaalikustannusten lähestymistapaa. Tarkoituksena on selvittää rahoitus- ja pankkitoiminnan tuottavuuden kehitystä, vallitsevien skaalatuottojen luonnetta ja työpanoksen ja pääoman substituoituvuutta. Tärkeimpänä tuloksena suoritetuista empiirisistä analyyseista oli se, ettei rahoitus- ja pankkitoiminnalle löydetty kasvavia skaalatuottoja. Lisäksi poikki- leikkaustarkasteluissa tuli esille kahden paikallispankkiryhmän ero ajatellen tehokkuutta ja kannattavuutta.
