Der liberale Liberalismus: Notwendige Abgrenzungen

Abstract

Der Liberalismus ist die Reflexionsform der politischen Moderne. Er bietet die begriffliche Darstellung der gesellschaftlichen und politischen Lebensordnung von souveränen, autonomen Individuen. Die liberale Ordnung gründet im menschenrechtlichen Egalitarismus. Sie ist institutionalisiertes Menschenrecht und basiert auf dem Zusammenspiel der institutionellen Sphären des freien Marktes, der Herrschaft des Gesetzes, einer gewaltenteiligen Verfassung, der demokratischen Herrschaftsausübung und der offenen Gesellschaft. Alle diese Teilordnungen sind gleichermaßen Ausdruck der Freiheit und rechtlichen Gleichheit der Bürger.
