Utjecaj FDI-ja na gospodarski rast europskih tranzicijskih zemalja

Abstract

Ekonomska neefikasnost bivših socijalističkih zemalja rezultirala je krahom socijalističkog sustava. Vjerovalo se da će dotok inozemnih ulaganja potaknuti snažniji gospodarski rast ovih zemalja. Zato je u radu napravljena analiza utjecaja stranih direktnih investicija na gospodarski rast odabranih europskih tranzicijskih zemalja u razdoblju od 1990. do 2005. godine. Primjenom panel analize je testirana hipoteza da veći dotok FDI-ja potiče gospodarski rast tranzicijskih zemalja. Rezultati, međutim nisu uspjeli opravdati navedenu hipotezu. Utjecaj FDI-ja na rast pokazao se negativnim, ali ne i statistički značajnim. Pokazalo se da statistički značajnu ulogu na gospodarski rast imaju makroekonomska stabilnost i otvorenost gospodarstva. Rezultati također pokazuju da su na dotok FDI-ja najviše utjecale makroekonomska stabilnost i veličina tržišta.
