Bedeutung gebührenfreier digitaler Plattformen für Österreichs Unternehmen

Abstract

Dieser Research Brief untersucht erstmals die Bedeutung und Nutzung gebührenfreier digitaler Plattformen in österreichischen Unternehmen basierend auf der WIFO-Unternehmensbefragung "Digitale Plattformen 2021/2022". Es wird aufgezeigt, dass über die Hälfte der Unternehmen gebührenfreie digitale Plattformen für Kommunikation, Information und Werbung verwendet. Etwa ein Drittel der Unternehmen nutzt seine wirtschaftlich bedeutendste Plattform gebührenfrei, wobei dies besonders häufig bei Dienstleistungsunternehmen (ohne Beherbergung und Gastronomie) der Fall ist. Erstmals wird auch die Zufriedenheit der Betriebe mit diesen Plattformen untersucht. Obwohl die Unternehmen insgesamt mit gebührenfreien digitalen Plattformen zufrieden sind, ist die Zufriedenheit im Vergleich zu gebührenpflichtigen Plattformen geringer.
