Tourismusanalyse November 2021 bis Februar 2022. Ukraine-Krieg dämpft Erwartungen für 2022

Abstract

Nach Beendigung des vierten, bundesweiten COVID-19-bedingten Lockdown Mitte Dezember 2021 erholte sich die österreichische Tourismuswirtschaft überraschend schnell und kräftig. Im Vergleich zum Vorkrisenzeitraum 2018/19 bestand von November 2021 bis Februar 2022 noch ein nachfrageseitiger Aufholbedarf von einem Drittel (Nächtigungen) bzw. gut einem Viertel (nominelle Umsätze). Die prozentuelle Lücke zum Vorkrisenniveau war dabei im internationalen Segment nach wie vor größer als im Binnentourismus (Nächtigungen –34,9% zu –27,5%).
