Abstract

La Nota aggiuntiva del 1962 è il documento di politica economica che segna l’inizio dei governi di centro-sinistra e propone la programmazione come strumento di soluzione dei problemi economici italiani. In questo lavoro si analizza il rapporto tra stato e mercato che emerge da questo documento e si argomenta come il fallimento di questa politica sia fondato su una limitata comprensione del comportamento dei decisori pubblici e privati. Infine si mostra come la disillusione rispetto ai risultati di questa politica abbia portato nel tempo Ugo La Malfa verso una posizione neo-liberale. In appendice si riporta il testo della Nota aggiuntiva.
