Impact des accords de libre échange sur la propension et l’intensité des exportations des entreprises au Maroc

Abstract

Cet article vise à enrichir l’approche économique concernant l’impact des accords de libre échange sur la propension à exporter et l’intensité des exportations. Elle permet aussi de prévoir les déterminants des exportations des entreprises marocaines. Nous procédons en deux étapes en s’appuyant sur le modèle Heckman. Dans un premier temps, nous estimons les déterminants de la probabilité que les entreprises marocaines exportent ou pas en utilisant une équation Probit. Les résultats montrent que les grandes entreprises ayant une longue expérience sont les plus exportatrices. Les accords de libre échange sont déterminants dans la probabilité à l’exportation des nouvelles entreprises créées après l’année 2000, année d’entrée en vigueur de la majorité des accords conclus. Dans un second temps, à travers une Tobit, nous montrons non seulement que l’environnement des affaires impacte l’activité d’exportation, mais également que l’utilisation progressive des nouvelles technologies, par les entreprises marocaines, influence leur performance en matière d’exportation.
