Abstract

Comment densifier la ville qualitativement pour qu'elle tende à se développer durablement ?Le Bureau fédéral du Plan va jusqu'à annoncer une augmentation spectaculaire de la population bruxelloise. L'offre du logement tant public que privé est-elle à même de subvenir aux besoins existants et à venir ?Quelles sont les formes urbaines les plus appropriées qui puissent respecter le tissu urbain existant et capables de répondre à ces nouvelles demandes ?Le sujet est au coeur de réflexions déjà entamées par certains acteurs politiques et économiques, que ce soit à Bruxelles ou à Paris. Hoe de dichtheid in de stad kwalitatief verhogen zodat ze zich duurzaam ontwikkelt ?Het Federaal Planbureau voorspelt een spectaculaire stijging van de Brusselse bevolking. Is het aanbod van zowel de particuliere als de openbare huisvesting in staat om in de bestaande en te verwachten behoeften te voorzien ?Wat zijn de meest aangewezen stadsvormen die het bestaande en het te verwachten stadsweefsel kunnen eerbiedigen en in staat zijn om aan deze nieuwe eisen te voldoen ?In alle grootsteden ziet men zowel politiek als economische actoren zich over het probleem buigen.
