Apertura Comercial y Estrategia de Desarrollo

Abstract

El presente trabajo analiza el papel que la apertura comercial tiene en los procesos de desarrollo. Se discuten los aspectos estáticos y dinámicos de la apertura comercial y se toma en consideración las respuestas públicas a los fallos de mercado relacionados con los procesos de industrialización. Finalmente, se estudia la relación existente entre la apertura y la calidad institucional y los márgenes que los procesos de negociación en la OMC permiten a los países en desarrollo para definir sus estrategias de industrialización.
