El fenómeno de la incubación de empresas y los CEEIS

Abstract

Uno de los temas más controvertidos dentro de los procesos económicos actuales en las economías modernas es el del espíritu emprendedor, debido a su contribución a la creación de empleo y a la cohesión social local del país. Por esta razón, desde los años 80 se han ido introduciendo programas que impulsen la creación y sostenimiento de las empresas. Entre estos programas cabe destacar el fenómeno de las incubadoras de empresas, y en particular el de los Centros Europeos de Empresas Innovadoras (CEEIs). En este trabajo se intenta realizar una aproximación a este fenómeno desde sus inicios, analizando su evolución a lo largo del tiempo, así como la caracterización y estructura que presenta en la actualidad para el caso de la economía española.
