Una aproximación a las funciones de importación y exportación de servicios para la economía española: 1960-1994

Abstract

Con este trabajo se pretende cubrir una parcela del comercio exterior que suele permanecer al margen de la investigación económica: el comercio de servicios. En suma, cuando hacemos alusión al comercio exterior con frecuencia restringimos nuestro análisis al comercio de bienes, algo hasta cierto punto justificado si tenemos en cuenta que los servicios tan sólo representan entre un 20 a un 25 por 100 del comercio internacional. Por otro lado, que los servicios estén poco representados en los mercados mundiales no parece argumento suficiente para obviar su estudio, y menos aún en el caso español, a tenor de la función compensadora que viene desempeñando la Balanza de Servicios de modo tradicional respecto de los saldos deficitarios que presenta la Balanza Comercial.
