Finansal Krizlerin Belirleyicileri Olarak Hizli Kredi Genislemeleri ve Cari Islemler Acigi

Abstract

Bu calismada 1970-2008 donemindeki finansal krizleri etkileyen unsurlar gelismis ve gelismekte olan ulkeler icin ayri ayri arastirilmaktadir. Panel logit veri teknigi kullanilarak yapilan analizde toplam 50 ulke olmak uzere, 24 tanesi gelismis, 26 tanesi gelismekte olan ulkenin finansal krizleri analiz edilmistir. Son kuresel krizin etkisinin de dahil edildigi analizlerde, hem gelismis hem de gelismekte olan ulkelerde cari islemler dengesizliklerinin ve kredilerdeki gelismelerin finansal kriz olasiligini artirma konusunda guclu oldugunu soylemek mumkundur. Diger taraftan, gelismis ulkelerde kredilerdeki gelismelerin, gelismekte olan ulkelerde ise cari islemler aciginin finansal kriz olasiligini istatistiki olarak daha guclu bir sekilde artirdigi soylenebilir.
