Regional innovasjon: En ny strategi i tiltaksarbeid og regionalpolitikk

Abstract

Dette heftet gir en kort oppsummering av viktige resultater fra STEP-gruppens prosjekt om "Innovasjon og økonomisk vekst i regionene". Prosjektet ble gjennomført for Kommunal- og arbeidsdepartementet fra 1994 til 1996. Prosjektet har omfattet tre hovedtyper av forskning. For det første teoretisk arbeid med å klargjøre hva som menes med begreper som regionalt innovasjonssystem. En slik klargjøring er viktig siden dette begrepet benyttes som basis for utforming av virkemidler i nærings- og regionalpolitikken. For det andre er det i prosjektet gjennomført empiriske studier av ulike regionale innovasjonssystemer. Det tredje forskningsfeltet har dreid seg om regional innovasjonspolitikk.
