Abstract

Les études sur le bien être des immigrants s’intéressent avant tout aux résultats économiques. Cependant, les immigrants mentionnent souvent comme motif principal de la migration le désir d’améliorer leur qualité de vie générale. La présente étude vise à comparer la satisfaction à l’égard de la vie des nouveaux immigrants au Canada à celle de la population de leur pays d’origine et à celle des personnes nées au Canada, et à évaluer le rôle que jouent les facteurs économiques et sociaux à l’échelon national dans la satisfaction à l’égard de la vie des immigrants.
