Pertes de gains des travailleurs deplaces ayant une participation stable au marche du travail : donnees recentes pour le Canada

Abstract

Dans la presente etude, on examine les pertes de gains a long terme des travailleurs mis a pied au debut des annees 1990 et au debut des annees 2000, a partir de donnees du Fichier de donnees longitudinales sur la main d'oeuvre (FDLMO) de Statistique Canada. Contrairement aux etudes anterieures, dont de nombreuses sont axees sur des echantillons restreints, la presente etude compare les pertes de gains de tous les groupes de travailleurs deplaces ayant une participation stable au marche du travail avant leur mise a pied. L'etude montre qu'en mettant l'accent uniquement sur les travailleurs mis a pied ayant beaucoup d'anciennete ou les travailleurs mis a pied par suite de fermetures d'entreprises, on exclut au moins les deux tiers des travailleurs canadiens deplaces ayant une participation stable au marche du travail.
