Abstract

Le present article resume les conclusions de documents de recherche recents de la Division de l'analyse des entreprises et du marche du travail de Statistique Canada portant sur le travail peu remunere et les familles economiquement vulnerables. Nous aborderons tout d'abord l'evolution des salaires au Canada de 1981 a 2004, puis nous examinerons de plus pres le travail peu remunere au cours des deux dernieres decennies. Nous tacherons ensuite de determiner dans quelle mesure les travailleurs peu remuneres vivent dans des familles a faible revenu, puis nous nous pencherons sur le recul sur le marche du travail des couples et des immigrants recents a faible niveau de scolarite.
