Dans quelle mesure le chomage au Canada est-il structurel?

Abstract

Le present document part de la definition . Le document resume les estimations disponibles du taux de vacance au Canada. Dans le secteur de la haute technologie, les vacances peuvent equivaloir a 2,2 % de la population active, mais des preuves decoulant d'enquetes plus representatives indiquent une etendue allant de 0,43 % a 0,75 % pour l'ensemble de l'economie. Durant les annees 80, le deplacement vers l'exterieur (l'ecartement) de la relation entre l'Indice de l'offre d'emploi et le taux de chomage soulevait des inquietudes, c'est-a-dire laissait supposer que le chomage structurel devenait au Canada un probleme croissant, mais ce deplacement dans les annees 90 s'est inverse.
