Abstract

Le présent document offre un examen des tendances de l'entrée et de la sortie des entreprises dans le secteur canadien des entreprises effectué à partir de la base de données du Programme d'analyse longitudinale de l'emploi (PALE) créé par Statistique Canada. Notre objectif principal est de présenter des faits stylisés et de fournir une analyse descriptive des tendances de l'entrée et de la sortie d'entreprises dans l'économie canadienne afin d'établir un fondement solide pour de futures études théoriques et empiriques approfondies de la dynamique des entreprises. En particulier, le document met l'accent sur l'importance relative des entreprises entrantes et sortantes pour ce qui est de leur nombre et de leur effectif, sur la persistance des tendances de l'entrée et de la sortie d'entreprises au cours du temps, et sur la corrélation entre les taux d'entrée et de sortie au niveau de l'industrie.
