Scientific novelty. An important part of the work is the typology of the introduced production capacities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, taking into account the spatial structure of the regional economy. An assessment of the specifics of the created production facilities in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation was carried out. Methods. The research methods include: general scientific methods, comparative analysis of regional investment activities and interregional connections, econometric methods, methods for constructing regional typologies, etc. Results. As a result of the work, for the first time, an approach has been developed to typology of the introduced production capacities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, taking into account the spatial structure of the regional economy. An assessment of the specifics of the created production facilities in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation was carried out. Calculations were made on the factors that determine the consistency of regional investment priorities. Conclusions. It is advisable to associate the commissioning of new capacities with the supply (own developments and exports from friendly countries and finding “friendly” business contacts in unfriendly countries) of new technological equipment, construction of buildings and infrastructure, development of software and technologies. Recommendations. It is necessary to design macro-regional innovation systems, where approaches to cooperation will vary significantly in different territories depending on factors such as the level of socio-economic development, industry specialization, the stock of entrepreneurial creativity, and the development of institutional mechanisms that encourage cooperation. It is necessary to intensify the development of new mechanisms for public-private planning in the field of interregional cooperation and the development of a system of production subcontracting.
