Abstract

In most modern Western and Russian studies as clustering mechanism for implementing the innovation process is considered as an effective tool for sustainable economic growth. Nevertheless, the significant role of social capital and interactive network interactions in the formation of clusters imposes certain restrictions on borrowing of Western "best practices" to stimulate clustering. Based on the data analysis makes recommendations to improve the Russian policy of supporting clusters and adaptation of international experience in the Russian conditions.
