Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze road accidents of commercial motor vehicles (trucking and buses carriers). Particularly, we want to verify how the safety activities of both the carriers and the drivers affect the accident rates. We also consider many other factors such as the size of the fleets, their risk exposure and their activity sector. Characteristics of the vehicles are also taken into account.
