Le determinanti del capitale sociale: analisi teorica e verifica empirica a livello micro e macroeconomico

Abstract

Il concetto di capitale sociale si e affermato, in ambito sociologico, a partire dalla fine degli anni ottanta grazie ai contributi di Pierre Bourdieu (1986) e James Coleman (1988, 1990). Nel corso degli anni novanta, la letteratura sul tema si quindi rapidamente ampliata, e la nozione di capitale sociale ha trovato applicazione anche in campo economico. In letteratura sono presenti molteplici definizioni di capitale sociale, le quali, benche in alcuni casi appaiano sostanzialmente differenti, hanno tutte un elemento comune: il riferimento a una dimensione relazionale del concetto. Il capitale sociale, e cio sembra essere opinione condivisa, si presenta come una risorsa fondata sull esistenza di un qualche tipo di relazioni sociali.
