Abstract

From end of years ninety the competition in the Spanish banking sector has been increased. One of the reasons of this increase of the competition is the entrance of companies whose original social object did not include the banking activity, but fruit of a diversification strategy decide to enter in this sector. This research tries to contribute relevant information on this "new" group of competitors.
