Abstract

Paying close attention to conditionality as a mechanism of Europeanization, this paper conceptualizes the interaction between the European Union and Romania. Consequently, we consider it appropriate to present the model of EU conditionality in the relations with Romania, from the pre-negotiation stage to the post-accession and to summarize the relations between Romania and the European Union, making emphasis on the concept, content and importance of the acquis.
