Abstract

Ο τουρισμός κρουαζιέρας αποτελεί ένα δυναμικό κλάδο της παγκόσμιας τουριστικής βιομηχανίας. Οι ετήσιοι ρυθμοί ανάπτυξης του κλάδου της κρουαζιέρας παραμένουν υψηλοί σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο και οι προοπτικές ανάπτυξης παραμένουν σημαντικά μεγάλες δίνοντας ευκαιρίες για οικονομική ανάπτυξης σε περιοχές της περιφέρειας. Η μελέτη αφορά στην περιγραφή της υφιστάμενης κατάστασης της δραστηριότητας της κρουαζιέρας στην Ελλάδα και την ανταγωνιστικότητα των ελληνικών λιμένων σε σχέση με τον κλάδο στην υπόλοιπη Μεσόγειο. Γίνεται ανάλυση της υφιστάμενης κίνησης των ελληνικών λιμένων και εξετάζεται το θεσμικό πλαίσιο μέσα από το πρίσμα του χωροταξικού σχεδιασμού και πως αυτός παρέχει τα κατάλληλα εργαλεία για την ανάπτυξη του τουρισμού κρουαζιέρας στην Ελλάδα. Εν κατακλείδι γίνεται η διαπίστωση ότι δεν υπάρχει η αναγκαιότητα υιοθέτησης ενός νέου Πλαίσιου Χωροταξικού Σχεδίου και Αειφόρου Ανάπτυξης, ειδικά για τον Τουρισμό Κρουαζιέρας αλλά οι χωρικές του επιπτώσεις να επισημαίνονται και να λαμβάνονται σημαντικά υπόψη στον χωροταξικό και πολεοδομικό σχεδιασμό σε υπο-περιφερειακό επίπεδο, μέσω των ΓΠΣ ή ΣΧΟΟΑΠ, αλλά και την σύνδεση των επιπέδων σχεδιασμού.
