Gegenwärtige Finanzlage und Monetäre Aspekte in Georgien

Abstract

Der vorliegende Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung Georgiens in den letzten Jahren, insbesondere mit den Auswirkungen des Augustkrieges auf die makroökonomischen Indikatoren. Untersucht werden die Entwicklung der Einnahmen- und Ausgabenseite des Staatshaushaltes sowie der Anteil der einzelnen Steuern am Bruttoinlandsprodukt. Es werden die Tendenzen der Entwicklung am Finanz- und Kapitalmarktes aufgezeigt und die möglichen Auswirkungen der Weltfinanzkrise dargelegt. Analysiert werden des Weiteren die Konsequenzen der monetären Politik auf den Devisenmarkt und die Aggregate der Geldmasse. Behandelt werden hernach die Wechselkursentwicklung der nationalen Währung (GEL) und die Gefahren für die Stabilität des Bankensektors.
