Abstract

Boltszintű árstatisztikai felírások alapján a tanulmány a magyarországi inflációs folyamatok és árazási magatartás jellemzőinek regionális hasonlóságait és eltéréseit vizsgálja. Fő tanulsága, hogy a hivatalos NUTS-II régiók nem képeznek önálló gazdasági egységeket, mely megállapítást alátámasztják (1) a megyei szintű inflációs ráták variancia-felbontásának eredményei, (2) a megyei szintű árváltoztatási gyakoriságok és méretek hasonlóságai, valamint (3) a megyei szintű inflációs ráták nemzeti és regionális faktorokra való felbontásának eredményei. A tanulmány kimutat bizonyos mértékű árszínvonal-konvergenciát, elsősorban a 2004 májusa, az európai uniós csatlakozás utáni időszakra vonatkozóan. Ez a folyamat nem tekinthető általánosnak, mivel csak néhány ágazatban jelenik meg, jellemzően a szolgáltatások szektorában.
