Las tendencias de largo plazo de la desigualdad regional en el Perú, 1827-2007

Abstract

Presenta las principales evidencias estadísticas sobre la distribución espacial de la población y actividad económica en el Perú desde 1827 hasta el 2007. El primer capítulo aborda la división regional del Perú, para ello se propone mantener la división territorial y administrativa que prevaleció en la Colonia Tardía basada en las antiguas intendencias coloniales. El segundo capítulo, aborda los cambios registrados en la distribución regional de la población, tanto en el siglo XVIII como en el siglo XX. El tercer capítulo, discute las principales etapas que tuvo el crecimiento de Lima Metropolitana desde 1600 al 2013, y como este factor es clave para conocer las fases que tuvo el desarrollo regional en el Perú. El cuarto capítulo presenta estimados que reflejan la distribución espacial de la actividad económica del Perú en 1827 y en el 2007. Por último, en el capítulo cinco se trata sobre los principales cambios cualitativos que hubo en el siglo XIX y XX en la distribución espacial de la actividad económica del Perú.
