Motivaciones para viajar del sector senior en España. Implicaciones en la comercialización de destinos turísticos

Abstract

El sector turístico resulta el gran beneficiario del proceso de envejecimiento demográfico, con una población mayor actualmente más orientada al ocio que las generaciones anteriores. Por ello, la motivación de viaje de los senior se configura como una de las variables comportamentales de mayor relevancia de cara a un conocimiento en profundidad de este colectivo. Así, en esta investigación se evalúa la relación entre dos componentes de la motivación, los factores push y pull a través de diversos análisis estadísticos se determina la relación entre el propósito principal del viaje y los atributos del destino para este colectivo. Finalmente, se proponen estrategias específicas para ofertar productos acordes a la motivación del viaje.
