­Tiziano Mannoni e l’archeologia del territorio: conservare, conoscere

Abstract

La Liguria è stata il territorio di indagine principale di Tiziano Mannoni e l’interazione tra attività di ricerca e tutela (“conoscenza” e “conservazione” in uno dei suoi noti schemi concettuali) ha lasciato qui più che altrove esempi concreti ed effetti duraturi che in molti casi sono ancora da sviluppare compiutamente. In questo contributo vengono esaminati a distanza di 30 anni i risultati positivi di attività di ricerca messe al servizio della tutela, sia alla scala dell’intera regione con i siti rurali di età romana, sia a scala locale con il contesto pluristratificato del Giogo di Toirano. L’attività di copianificazione paesaggistica dedicata alle zone di interesse archeologico della Liguria è la ripresa di forme diffuse di tutela con gli strumenti normativi attuali.
