Abstract

Mata kuliah Filsafat Umum ini memuat materi ajar yang mencakup arti dan lingkup filsafat, sebab-sebab lahirnya filsafat, perkembangan pemikiran filsafat sejak zaman Yunani Kuno sampai zaman modern, cabang-cabang dan aliran-aliran filsafat, ciri dan karakteristik setiap aliran filsafat beserta tokoh-tokohnya, juga memuat ajaran-ajaran pokok dari para filsuf dan beragam aliran kefilsafatan. Secara umum matakuliah ini mengajak mahasiswa untuk memahami filsafat yang tidak dalam kecurigaan superior antara filsafat, agama dan Ilmu. Dengan demikian pemahaman komplementer-sirkuler perlu ditekankan. Mahasiswa diajak untuk berpikir secara rasional dengan bingkai pemikiran filsafat. Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) Filsafat Umum dibuat dan dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk menjamin agar supaya kompetensi yang bermutu dapat tercapai. Untuk mencapai kompetensi tersebut maka dibuatlah silabus dan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran.
