Abstract

Tujuan dilaksanakannya program tersebut adalah untuk mengaktualisasikan salah satu unsur Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi yaitu pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan membantu masyarakat dalam upayanya meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga. Kegiatan diawali dengan observasi dan koresponding melalui WA untuk mengetahui kebutuhan dari kelompok selanjutnya dilaksanakan dengan menyampaikan materi terkait pendampingan serta pemberdayaan kepada masyarakat dalam upaya melakukan pemulihan ekonomi masyarakat terdampak COVID-19 di lingkungan Penjahit Bordir dan Sulaman Kenagarian Kubu Ganting Padang Pariaman. Kesimpulan dari pelaksanaan program ini ialah program dapat diterima oleh masyarakat. Selain diterima, dengan adanya program ini juga masyarakat dapat memanfaatkan peluang yang tersedia ditengah adanya pandemi covid-19 dengan cara pembuatan masker yang kemudian bisa diperjual-belikan. Tujuan akhir dari pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan ini yaitu dapat menjadi sumber penghasilan tambahan bagi masyarakat terdampak terutama masyarakat dari program ini dijalankan.
