Abstract

Selama ini produksi produk perikanan belum memberikan hasil yang positif bagi peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat terutama tiram. Tiram juga merupakan salah satu hasil perikanan yang mudah mengalami pembusukan jika tidak segera dimanfaatkan. Sehingga harus dilakukan suatu penanganan secara optimal, salah satunya adalah pembuatan kerupuk tiram agar tidak merugikan para pencari tiram. Pembuatan kerupuk tiram pada prinsipnya merupakan suatu metode pengawetan dengan kombinasi antara perebusan/pengukusan, pendinginan, pengirisan, pengeringan dan penggorengan, penambahan bumbu-bumbu tertentu serta pengemasan. Juga perlu diberikan teknologi tepat guna berupa mesin pengiris kerupuk untuk menyeragamkan ketebalan irisan kerupuk serta alat pengering surya sederhana untuk mendapatkan produk yang kebersihan dan kualitasnya dapat dikontrol dengan baik sehingga pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat desa. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah alat pengering surya mampu bekerja dengan baik untuk mengeringkan kerupuk tiram secara optimal dan mongering secara merata. Alat pengemasan hand sealer dapat membuat kerupuk tiram mempunyai waktu simpan lebih lama dan harga jual dapat ditingkatkan sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan para anggota kelompok PKK Gampong Blang.
