Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of promotion and student understanding of students' interest in saving at Islamic banks with religiosity as a mediating variable. Case study on students of the Department of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, IAIN Cirebon. The data used in this study is primary data collected from 35 respondents who are active students of the Department of Islamic Economics in the 2019-2022 class. This type of research is quantitative. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. This study uses a Quantitative Descriptive method, analyzed using a mediation model. The research was conducted in May-June 2023. The results of this study indicate that promotion does not significantly affect directly interest in depositing in Islamic banks, significant understanding directly influences interest in depositing in Islamic banks, and religiosity does not mediate the two variables, namely promotion and understanding of interest in depositing in Islamic banks.
