Abstract

Di dalam manajemen pemasaran, pasar dan pemasaran merupakan dua sisi yang tidak dapat dipisahkan satu sama lainnya. Pasar dan pemasaran memiliki tingkat ketergantungan yang tinggi dan saling mempengaruhi satu sama lainnya. Segmentasi pasar artinya membagi pasar menjadi beberapa kelompok pembeli yang berbeda yang mungkin memerlukan produk atau marketing mix yang berbeda pula Segmentasi pasar perlu dilakukan mengingat di dalam suatu pasar terdapat banyak pembeli yang berbeda keinginan dan kebutuhannya. Manajemen Pemasaran akan dipecah menjadi empat kebijakan pemasaran yang lazim disebut bauran pemasaran (marketing mix) atau 4P dalam pemasaran yang terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu produk (product), harga (price), tempat (place), dan promosi (promotion).
