Abstract
This study aims to examine more deeply the principles of consumption behavior in islam according to the interpretation of QS Al-A’raf verses 31-32. This research technique is literature review, therefore this research is a library research. The results of this study indicate that in the concept of consumption there are several principlesthat must be obeyed by Muslim consumers. All economic activities originate from human physical need to be able to continue to live in this world. All the needs for survival will be as vigorously as possible to be cultivated alone, but when the needs for life cannot be fulfilled alone, social interaction occurs in meeting the necessities of life among humans. This interaction actually represents the interaction of supply and demand, the interaction of consumption and production, so that the market emerges as a forum for this economic interaction. In Islamit is explained that the earth with all its contents is a mandate from Allah SWT to humans to be used as well as possible for the welfare of Muslims. Meanwhile, humans have two functions in this world, namely as servants of Allah who are tasked with worshiping Him and as caliphs whose duty is to prosper and prosper Allah’s earth. One of the uses that have been given to humans as the caliph of Allah is economic activity in general and consumption activities in particular. Islam teaches humans to use the right basis in order to get the pleasure of Allah in carrying out their functions as caliphs.
