Abstract

Matematika merupakan suatu ilmu yang berhubungan dengan penelaahan bentuk-bentuk atau struktur-struktur yang abstrak dan hubungan-hubungannya diantara hal-hal itu. Bertitik tolak dari tujuan pembalajaran matematika di Sekolah Dasar yaitu menumbuhkan dan mengembangkan keterampilan berhitung sebagai alat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, maka matematika sebagai salah satu ilmu dasar yang memberi tekanan pada penalaran dan pembentukan sikap anak memberikan pengajaran perpangkatan dan akar bilangan dalam menerapkan matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu konsep dasar matematika harus ditanamkan benar-benar dalam diri pribadi setiap anak didik. Sebab kalau penguasaan mereka terhadap konsep matematika, dalam hal ini tentang pengerjaan perpangkatan dan akar bilangan pada Sekolah Dasar sekarang tentu akan menjadi faktur kesulitan begi
