Abstract

Pada artikel ini akan di bahas cendekiawan Islam klasik dari sudut pandang ekonomi. Pasalnya, ulamah telah banyak mengemukakan gagasan terkait keuangan publik yang sesuai dengan konsep Islam. Sebagaimana diketahui bahwa karya-karya Abu Ubaid sangat kaya baik dalam bidang nahwu, qira'ah, fiqh maupun puisi, dan salah satu karyanya yang paling terkenal adalah kitab Al-Amwal. Buku ini merupakan karya komprehensif tentang keuangan negara dalam perspektif Islam.Selain itu, karyanya disertai dengan segudang bukti sejarah yang berkaitan dengan ilmu hukum dan sejarah ekonomi paruh pertama abad kedua Islam.Bahkan berisi ikhtisar jejak Nabi SAW dan kisah para sahabat dan pengikutnya tentang permasalahan ekonomi yang mereka hadapi.
