Abstract

Waralaba atau franchise adalah bentuk kerjasama antara pemilik usaha, produk, dan sistem operasional (franchisor) dengan pihak lain (franchisee) dalam bentuk pemberian lisensi untuk menggunakan merek, produk, dan penggandaan. Berdasarkan jenisnya, franchise terdiri atas franchise produk, franchise jasa, dan franchise gabungan. Berdasarkan asalnya, franchise terdiri atas franchise dalam negeri dan franchise luar negeri. Sebagian besar bisnis yang sudah sukses akan menggunakan model bisnis franchise. Ini karena sistem franchise menawarkan keuntungan berupa ekspansi yang efisien dalam waktu singkat, dengan modal, resiko, dan investasi yang lebih minim.
